Gulf Swimming

Recognized as the “Best Little Swim Team in Texas”, the CATS are a rigorous, competitive U.S.A. Swim team. Established in 1987 by Jeff Helms, the CATS have produced nationally ranked age group swimmers, and swimmers who have qualified for Jr. Nationals, Nationals, the U.S. Open, and the Olympic Trials. Prospective CATS may request a swim evaluation with Coach Helms, thereafter, the swimmer will be offered a spot on the CATS or be informed what skill needs learning in order to join the CATS. Coach Helms offers private swimming lessons for current and prospective CATS, who desire individualized stroke work.
